About the event

Join us for a hands-on introduction to the basics of trail maintenance on Sunday, October 4!

Whether you’re completely new to trail work or looking to sharpen your skills, this workshop is an opportunity to learn from experienced trail maintainers and get out on the trail to put those skills into practice. You’ll learn the fundamentals of trail maintenance, work with the tools used by trail crews, and see firsthand how volunteers help keep our Catskill trails in good shape.

No experience is necessary - all skill levels are welcome! All tools and gear will be provided, so just bring your energy and enthusiasm. The workshop will be presented by experienced members of the Catskill trail community!

We spend countless hours hiking the trails of the Catskills; climbing peaks, exploring new routes, enjoying the views, and experiencing everything these mountains have to offer. Please consider giving a few hours to keeping the trails…
